The Leicester School Committee will recruit and employ the most qualified candidates for all positions.

The Superintendent of Schools will see that all vacancies are adequately posted through its website, email distribution, through posting on SchoolSpring, as well as being advertised in the media, when necessary. The notice will contain a brief description of the vacancies, the certification requirements, location of the position (building), the starting date, and any other information that may be appropriate. The district hiring manual shall provide timelines, interview committee make-up, and specific posting procedures.

All resumes of prospective candidates for open positions will be screened by the administrator assigned to the hiring process. Recommendations from the hiring committee shall be presented to the Superintendent of Schools, who will select, appoint, and, if necessary, construct a contract for the candidates.
