Specific procedures, developed in response to School Committee policies, are meant to guide district staff to follow such policies and are referred to as regulations. It will be the responsibility of the Superintendent to see that the regulations developed to implement Committee policies and administer the school system are appropriately coded and included as regulations in the School Committee's policy manual. Any entry to the School Committee policy manual with an extension, such as -R or -C are regulations. Thus, the regulations for a policy coded as ABC may be coded as ABC-R. Minor changes in regulations do not require School committee approval if those changes are consistent with the policy.

A regulation concerning a particular group or groups in the schools will be distributed to the group(s) prior to the effective date of the regulation.
